A plea for the Hs-129B tuning
#1

Dear modders,

I know you have christmas coming up but maybe sometime thereafter you could polish up that little gem Hs-129B, big friend of the landsers.

1. The later series Hs-129B2 were equipped with rear view mirror.
2. The MK 101/w.30 rounds was upgraded to the MK103/w.100 rounds.

Any chance for that pretty please? (or changing the ammo to 100 rds for the MK101)

Ah well,
thanks Zol.

I wonder if it would be possible to place the gunsight outside the cockpit just in front of the armour glass? Might be difficult I suppose...

IMO also the cockpit from, say, the 109G6/AS (with Erla Haube) would be a better choice for this aircraft. The 110 'pit never seems right to me due to the lack of a rear bulkhead Confusedhock:

or... possibly the Beaufighter... perhaps?

But yes the 109G6/AS would be a nice choice. Pity bout lack of dual engine gauges... Sad

Ah - never thought of that

Yes, I neer thought the 110 was quite right. Beaufighter would be good, or really any cockpit with minimal rear view from four o'clock through eight o'clock.

I would prefere the Beaufighter too...

Re engine gauges - weren't they positioned on the inside of the engine nacelles due to the cockpit being so small? I'm not sure that the Hs129 had duplicate engine gauges in the cockpit...

Yes Username,

The ENG intruments were on the nacelles.
I prefer the dual ENG and german style cockpit of the ME110 as is now.
Granted, the rear vision is a compromise that doesnt sit well.

With my skills I really need more trigger time, so 100 rds MK101 (or historically correct MK103)
would make my day.

Bye, Zol.

Hey Guys,

So you just know I'm working on a mini-campaign for the Hs-129B. It will have 4 to 6 missions, perhaps a track or two and might be ready for distribution by the weekend.

I've been flying this bird and it is fun and challengiing too!

At least from the outside, that cockpit sure looks allot like an IL-2!! Maybe, with the expertise gained from the efforts of the cockpit skinners, you could exchange German gauges for the Russian ones in the IL-2. :?:

Hmmm yeah, mabey an IL2 with a massively chunky armour plate behind the seat would fit all right.
