In PF the FM-2 carries two external tanks. However I believe,from some photos I've seen, they usually carried only one external tank. Can anyone MOD the FM-2 to give us the option of one or two tanks?

I am very sorry, I do not understand, it is 100 % historically correct and for all offline campaign players and realism-lovers would be great......

The Corsair often took only one drop tank on the right pylon as well. It would be great to be able to select what ordinance we wanted to put where. But I do realize that this would involve messing with the FM.....assuming that we wanted it for realistic purposes rather than for just cosmetic value. Oh well, we can dream, can't we?

Just lookin' for something more realistic in apperance. I fly off-line so I'm not really concerned with cheating, i.e. jet engines & A-bombs, just Aesthetics.

Yeah Duffy, but we have to realize that, offline or on, it's not just about asthetics. They carried just one tank for a couple of different reasons, and the effect on the aircraft is different than carrying two, as I'm sure you know. In order to do this, the FM has to be messed around with. Latteral CG is affected, gross weight is affected, drag is affected, fuel load is different so endurence will be affected. As far as I'm concerned, I would like for all these things to be represented rather than just the cosmetic representation of only a single drop tank.

Am I alone in suspecting that "No one has been allowed to modify the loadouts" might be more accurate? :wink:
