Ju88 rear gunners
#1

What are the chances of fixing the Ju88 rear gunners so that both guns now fire, rather than just the starboard side? Oleg was queried on this a while back, and he said that the sim can have no more than 5 cockpit possies. This is, of course, a load of crap and anyone who has flown the TB3 will know that we can have more than 5 possies.

The issue was that there was only one crewmember serving the two dorsal guns, so if you wouldswitch to the left, the right one is controlled by AI thus creating a situation where you have two dorsal guns firing simultaneously which could not happen in reality.

Did he actually say that??? If I understand correctly the dorsal positions were manned by the same gunner. So, he should be able to fire both at the same time - but only if he doesn't aim.

Early Ju 88s carried a pilot, an observer, a radio operator and a gunner. Any of the last three could fire a gun when the machine was under attack, so I think it very likely that both rear guns were sometimes used.

I would rather see the landing gear door bug fixed ....

Your all right in what you say but its to do with the Human gunner and the A.I. gunner being able to target two different aircraft at once and Oleg considered it to be unfair.

Early Ju-88s only had one dorsal gun... I suppose the gunner is ventral, so the observer and radio operator must be the people who could operate the gun. Now the next question is "how much room was available"

Madcat, if you are right then it is something that should probably be changed (if we could). It might also be wise to delete the dorsal position (the other fair solution)

Well, would it be possible to make the gun at least mannable by a human player, because at the moment your port side is pretty well exposed.
