REMOVING P-51 DIVE SOUND
#1

S~...

After several people have decided that the problem of the missing sounds is caused by the P-51 Dive sound, how do we remove it...???

I (personally) dont have sound in the following:

ALL Bf-109's
ALL F4U's/Corsairs
B-25
A20C/G
Focke-wulf series - 190/200 (all bar the FW-189)
etc... and it kinda sucks. PLEASE, how do you remove this 'dive sound'????

I hear all the planes normally, but I don't hear any dive sound on the P-51 at all. This sucks, I agree that it should be removed.

I've replaced the TEXT (SAMPLES) section from the original TEXT list, and the PRESETS>Sounds files, and all the sound files from the ORIGINAL v.9 pack - all to no avail.

If the P-51 mod was still on this site I could probably figure it out myself... but it aint. SO... HELP!

I didnt know that there were new lines in filelist lol
Go to IL2 1946/files/samples and remove those new sounds you mentioned in your post . If still dont work then remove all new files added in IL2 1946/files folder by the P-51 dive sound .

Tip:extracting the P-51 dive sound to an empty folder you will know what files you have to delete from IL2 files folder.

I downloaded this mod and it worked fine for me. I got it at the same time as the
B-17D and E mods. I did not install the B-17 mods due some of the problems they were having with
them. I have also the soundmod v9.3 and the fixed B-17 mods. Though I use the
xPackard_Merlin_XX_2701.wav copied and renamed Packard_Merlin_XX_2703.wav from
soundmod v9.3. this gives the Mustung an understated whistle in a power dive and pull out.
