Nice work!! A suggestion, maybe use a template or something in photoshop so you can get the panels in better and things like that? cos at the moment a few bits of white and panel things aren't really there
kl I would love to see them when they're done, kind of like that blue one lol.
Oh if you'd like to see what it looks like with a template on try and fill in all the lines so there are none visually like the way the middle bit of the fuesalage is and then i'll put a template on and send them back so you can have a look.
Rap
Thanks F22-raptor that would be great
I see now that the template for this plane that I have been using
Is weathered and dirty not pure white and is causing the distortions
If I understand you right
I need to figure out how to remove the details and paste them back on the plane
after I paint it.
Correct ?
yes basically when your painting it (taking that you had the void as your base) you just paint over the lines then the lines will be gone and the paint will replace it.
Then the templates basically put all the wheels and details back on plus the panels but not by using the void skin details. They are made so that things look more realistic more 3D so in some places it makes it lighter and some darker and in general it's like a touch up to complete your aircraft.
If there are a few corrections to make at this point you will see the lines and once you finish making the corrections you the template on again and get the lines back that you may have covered.
Templates are in .psd format which as far as I know can only be opened by Photoshop. I'll show you a picture of a skin that I'm working on with and without template...
erm 4mb files I dunno, u might have to look around. Is there a way to flatten the layers or something before saving? That might mean u can save it as a 1mb file and not 4? But i don't use gimp and I find it really complicated so I'm not sure.
