My game keeps loading up in 640x320 resolution and in full screen even when i change it and then close it still keeps on opening at that. All the sounds have dissappeared for the game as well!! I even changed the config to match some of my working 404m game but when i opened it still went to full screen and 640x320!!!
normally it is on windowed and 1024x768
Something has reset everything and kept it that way!!!!

Looks like the game cannot load conf.ini, so it is using its default settings.
il send you my conf.ini to see ifit fixes it
nope didn't work...i changed the settings on il2 setup to match my 404m game and when i started it again it went back to weird mode!!
Ok, are you using windows vista? If yes do you have the game installed in "program files" folder? Move the game folder out of program files and your settings should stay. If not useing vista make sure the conf.ini is not set to read only.
no not using vista but the config file was blocked apparently unblocked it now but it still loads up the same after i've changed it
Maybe conf.ini is set to 'read only', or 'archive', 'hidden' or something.
The game does write to conf.ini when you change settings, so maybe it needs write access even when loading (just trying to guess)
