New skins for ships?

I believe someone was working on the possibility of "re-painting" ships. Any word on the progress? Maybe RN CVE, repainting or eliminating deck numbers on carriers, oilers looking like naval vessels than Exxon Mobile, etc.

+2 For a re-skin on the 109's fuel tanks, gun pods etc. As well on more re-skins. If some one shows me how to get to the files ill be more than happy to edit them!

You need to extract them with SFS Extractor, then, they are here:

Here how that should look:

Then you are going to edit those .tga files. Some of them can be opened with photoshop and similar application, and some of them are scripted, so we use this method for seeing them. Explaine by deSAD, and can be found here:

Many *.tga (Wood*.tga, for example) have *.tgb files with same name, which preferable for using, because they have highest resolution

First of all, you must have it extracted all that can be extracted, then you will chose what you prefer

I will write small tutorial for that .tga files as soon as I get free time.

Hos anyone been able to do this yet? With the work well along on the "Slot" map, would be nice to have some of these "re-painted" and ready for the Solomons.

+1 PT boats were used alot in the slot. it' be good to have a US one. the PT boat bases will be present in the slot map. it'd be a shame not to have some.

I'm trying to absorb as much as possible in regard to mods, but I'm still at the clueless stage :oops: , so I hope an energetic modder will take interest in this.

Maybe PM CanonUK? He is a vey accomplished skinner and he has just posted that he is making his own BoB Online map.

Maybe if you could get the skins ready for him he could do something pretty quick
