After extracting all of the maps into a folder, I found a full set of Wood textures (romWood0-4.tga) that are openable.

1. Editied these (just recoloured for now) renamed them to different prefix, eg. newWood0.tga etc. 2. Put them in maps\_Tex\forest\summer
3. Added correct paths and filenames to Filelist.txt (yup, Still using the old wrapper for now)
4. Changed entries in load.ini to call for new tex.
5. Load and test Wink

Results below,

Notes: Theres a far distance version of the tex/s that needs to be edited too I guess but will have a look at that later today/tonite Smile

Nope, that's controlled by this line in the load.ini

Code:
[FIELDS]
.
.
.
Wood2    = land/Pacific/burmascrub.tga

That's a quite good job !!!!

Please can you tell us exactly how did you extract these wood textures? I did not find them in the folder of extracted files.

Or even better can you post somewhere these extracted files so we can download them?

I need badly some olive trees textures for the Sicily Map so I could recolor a bit these ones...

Thanks

MiWa very kindly posted his Filelist.txt ( (The link is inoperative) ) to use with the extractor and this is what I used to extract all files from the maps_xx.sfs files to a folder on my desktop.

Thanks a lot!
I could get a better texture for my Sicily forest, but I could not obtain an acceptable far view.

Does someone know about forest far file? What should be the name and the look of this file?
All extracted files cannot be open, it seems...

Cool, been playing with the tex now, result is a wider upper canopy and softer appearance, Good visibility over distance and at lower angles.
