QMBPlus

Any chance FC will update with all hard coded maps?

Or a version were the hard code contains no maps?

Doubt it. All maps can be added manually be you now though you must still create the missions.

Eleminating all maps just for the user to add maps back himself likewise does not make sense when you have been given the old maps plus some of the most popular new maps by default. There is a point at which the developer compromises between nothing and everything --- that being the defualt maps you have now with QMB+. You are at liberty to add all the remaining maps you want by adding them to the filelist.txt and then creating missions for them.

My purpose would have been to eliminate the ETO maps and add in my preference, the PTO maps. Nothing more aggravating than to have to scroll down every time I want to fly my preferred map. No problem, just my insanity!

I agree, this idea has appeal for me too. If it was possible and FC had the time and the inclination I'd welcome a sort of "super-user" version that was fully customisable like this.

I can make QMB without any map easily, as there are two guys already who want this than I don't have other choice than to make them what they want.

Can't promise that I'll make that tonight but tomorrow you will have QMBMinus

People who expect that I'll make QMB with all maps and missions for it are not that lucky.
There are 85 maps x 6 misssion types x 2 sides= 1020 missions

There is no way that I'll make 1020 missions except if you can persuade Jelena Jensen to spend weekend in my bed.

Here is QMBMinus, there is no hardcoded maps in it so it's all up to user to enable maps he likes. Of course you can use all or any of the missions from QMBPlus.

This pack contain only QMB engine and you should install it the same way you have installed QMBPlus.
In addition QMBMinus have FMB button included in QMB GUI, I think that it will be very useful in this situation.

To add new maps and missions first add them in conf.ini, than go to QMB and go to FMB from there. Make new mission, save it and exit FMB and you will find yourself in QMB again ready to try mission you just made.

After a very quick test, I can say QMB Minus works like a charm :!: Also, the new button for accessing the FMB is most excellent, I really like the way you can now just jump into FMB and when you exit, your right back to QMB

Very happy with this Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Thanks again FC :!:

I'm glade that everything works fine and that you like QMBminus. I'm also glade that you fixed that link in one of your previous posts, expecting to see Jelena and getting Bearcat instead is kind of cold shower

PS
I'm happy for you Hawk, I hope that you don't mind that little joke in my previous post.

PPS
Here is a little tip for QMB+/- users, one guy asked if he can change names of hardcoded maps.

Code:
Go to i18n folder, it's probably in your basic mod or in sound mod and find file maps_ru.properties.
There are two columns with maps names there, change the name of the map in right column in anything you want.
