Big Problem
#1

I just got done testing all the aircraft to make sure the engine sounds are all working. All of my axis aircraft work great but in the allied aircraft I have a lot of aircraft with no sound. I have the latest version of the Eng. sound mod (0.93) and I have many problems with some of the sounds. I get no exterior or cockpit sounds for the following aircraft:
I-16 type 18 & 24
All the mustang series
Buffalo Mk. 1and B 239
Corsair Mk. I, II, & IV
F4U-1A, 1C, &1D
F2A-2, F4F-3 &4, & FM-2
Avenger
F6F-3
F6f-5
SBD-3 &5
Hawk 75A-3 &A4
Both A 20's
TBF-1C & TBM-3
All B 25's
Does anyone else have similar problems? Anyway I can fix them. I only have the Eng. Mod and the AAA Mod downloaded . SO what is wrong. Need help Please.

I did try that and the problem still persists. Only the aircraft mentioned above don't work. the 0.90 mod only gives sound to the p51 but I lose sound in other aircraft and I am still msiing the other aircraft sounds I mentioned. When I install 0.92 I no longer get the p51 sounds and I am still missing the other sounds. Then I install 0.93 and I get some great sounds but still I don't get sounds for these aircraft I mentioned in any of the mod versions. Why? I even deleted every other mod I had except for the eng. Sound mod and it still did not work. I really enjoy your mod SG2_wasy and I would enjoy it even more if I could have sounds for these aircraft. What do I nedd to do. Nothing seems to work. All the other aircraft work great except for the ones I mentioned. Please help. I have the mods folder and the files folder. I checked the sounds in the files folder and I have the merlin engine sounds for the p51 but they don't work. Please help me figure this out someone.

hmmm, then delete all mods, and make manuality install soundmod from rar archive, check copying all files (like *.txt and buttons files)

Thank you very much for your help SG2_Wasy. I again tried to install all the mods again and it did not work. I tried to mess around a bit and I even used the p51 engines sounds from 0.90 and put them in the 0.93 mod and it still did not work. If I can't get the sounds to work on these particular aircraft is there any way I can get there original engine sounds. I only want the original sounds for the aircraft I have problems with and I want to keep the other sounds the way they are . Can I do this? If not I will just have to wait for the next update to the sound mod. Anyways thanks for your time and help SG2_Wasy. I really appreciate it and I'm looking forward to your future works! You have made this a truly outstanding flight sim. Thank you very much!

Mixing different version sound mod - bad idea. Realy, i don't know how work self-installer, possible some mistakes in him. Becouse i recommend use rar version from my filefront account http://hosted.filefront.com/SG2Wasy.

I think problem in old buttons file (in GUI folder) it's file (if simple words) connect plane and presets, i think you use older buttons from 0.9 with new 0.9(1-2-3), it's mistake.

I don't check how new version of my mod work with others mods, now on my PC installed only SFX_0.4 and 0.93 which i use for comparing, it's all.

Ok. Thanks SG2_wasy. I tried looking into the folders and the merlin engine solunds are there but they just don't work in game. I don't want to mess with it because I don't know anything about the files. It won't work and I don't like flying these aircraft without sound. Is there anyway I can get the original sound back only for the aircraft I have problems with? In the o.90 engine sound mod my p51 engine sounds great but I lose some of the bombers and I don't get sound for the american carrier aircraft. In 0.93 I get the bomber aircraft sounds but I lose the p51 engine sounds and I still don't get the american aircraft carrier sounds like thye corsair. All axis work great. Just some american planes I have trouble with. Can I get the original sounds for these aircraft?

If I delete the p51 files will that give me my original sound for that aircraft? i really enjoy flying the P51 and corsair and I can't fly them without sound. I love flying all the other aircraft even more now because of the sound but the p51 gets boring when I fly it with no sound. So do I have to delete the p51 files to go back to original sound?

Is it possible that we could have some kinda fix for this folks as I'm having the same problem as Matt.91 here?

I've even done a clean install tonight with the same problems arising and I've read about all the threads I can find here about the subject, but no change Cry

It also happened to me once with P-47 sounds, when I installed version 4.09mb. The solution was to move back to the earlier dlls from 4.08m, i.e. to install patch 4.09mb without the 4 dlls. It works with the sound mod, and you will still be in 4.09mb, but with the dlls from 4.08m.

Of course the above fix only applies if you are in 4.09mb...

Another tip: use the new wrapper, put it in your root folder. The wrapper will scan all your files, without need of filelist.txt, so it is more reliable.
