Yeah guys, try startup mod with new wrapper, may be it help, only need delete soundmod from files folder and delete filelist. Hmm also there may be mistake becouse even new wrapper read path primary from filelist and files folder and secondary from mods folder

ok, then say me size (in bytes) and you file "buttons" in gui folder in you mod folder, check what no another "buttons" file there.

Been playing around with a few of them to see if they work. This is from .90 which is the version of mod I have installed m8. Tried all of them up to .93 all with the same result I'm afraid.

I am having the same problems. The P-51 and the USN aircraft have no engine sounds. All the sounds in the samples folder will actually play fine in windows media player but in the game there are no engine sounds for these aircraft. Could it be the values in the presets folder for sounds that is causing the problem? I did managed to get the Hellcat to have engine sounds under a certain RPM but over that RPM was no sound. I cannot remember what I did to get that to happen. I have done complete reinstalls of IL-2 with no other mods other than the sound mod and still always have these same problems. Would the _ru sound mod work with my game?

Just an update.....I got all the sounds to work on my system. I completely uninstalled IL2 then deleted the leftover files. I defragged my HDD and reinstalled IL2. I updated it to 4.08 then installed .90 sound mod. Played the game to check the sounds and everything was OK. Installed sound mod .93 and again checked the game play. All was good. Patched game to 4.09 and installed all my skins and campaigns then played the game again. All was still good.

Just wanted to let people know how I got my sound mod to work.
