Hi i want to make a map from Germany and Poland for 39-40 scenario!
Does anybody has a good map from this time?
So that i can start with my projekt!

If you go to the TUTORIALS thread you will find the links for accessing the page via direct IP (instead of DNS)

I'm not sure whats in it but it looks worth a look.

Its a Russian source which offers free download for non commercial use
Basic map set is extensive and is 1960's era -- so not too far from 1940?

There are also some historic maps.
I have not explored all of the site but it includes Poland.

I also recall seeing a detailed Luftwaffe Air Navigation map posted on one of the IL-2 sites, but I didnt bookmark it at the time and cant find it now. Maybe someone else will remember where it is.

if upload it as a jpeg so dont worry i have a bmp file saved that i will save to a tga!


1. Is red the right colour for water in map_h or musst i have to make it black?
2. How do i get this whit tras on the left site away and the scales?

Nope, there should be no red's (DEM holes) .... in microdem : edit... DEM holes....interpolate across holes ... ( if only sea reminded red than select "missing data to sea level")

and for the border ... just crop in the graph editor ( makeone picture with layers from all three maps and crop it ) ... make sure final dimensions can be divided by 32

Prodigy, extend your map further North. You don't want the islands touching the map border. Everything near the border is repeated to infinity when you fly near the map edge.

this was only a test its not final the mapsice!
in final i dont want the ilands but more in the east so i can fly over poland!

@:fly hm but in the tutorials stand:
menu:
"modify"
"elevation"
Select "colours from table"
Then select the "Elevation Table" button
Load the new table values I have sent
Select the "Missing" button
Choose red as your colour
Press "OK"
Ensure "Ocean Check" and "Lake Check" is not ticked
Press "OK"

and wy diveded by 32?

i tryed and it looks hm i would say it locks like a map_h or?!

but in the midle is a red line! and i dont understand how i make the white things go away!
