OK; thanks for the super fast answer!
By the way, did you mod Iwojima and Crimea maps with these new objects which you suggest to delete from static.ini?
I downloaded a rar with some folder with the mods, how I need to install it please??
in the static.ini file (static_ini folder in MODS)
go to each of the tree objects (near the top...not the mods at the bottom)
and in the line for Mesh Dead..... which by default is empty......I have details of the new destroyed trees
just delete the details and leave as blank after the words Mesh dead
I don't know how to remove them, but I agree - they're horrible. They detract from the joy of this mod because they're so very unrealistic. Same with the swirling white puffs of smoke which sometimes appear when an aircraft explodes as it hits the ground.
I might try LAL ROne's Destruction Mod Mk 2 to see if that makes any difference - though for all I know FabianFred used that version in his mod (?)
try disabling the AAAsmoke folder which came with the mod...it may be related to that
I have never played about with any of the smoke settings......the AAA smoke and aircraft crash smoke and vehicle destroyed smokes are allthe work of others which i incorporated into my set
Yes, by removing the AAA effects folder the puff-balls disappear, but, the effect represents the destruction of the gunner positions while the big smoke plumes are related to the big and medium naval gun destruction. If somehow the puff-balls could be altered to small smoke plumes it would be perfect. I haven't the abilities to tinker with this kind of thing and this "ALL in One Mod" adds incredible immersion to this simulation, I hope this problem can eventually be fixed without altering the other elements of this mod
