Volume Of Flaps Buzzer in 109s
#1

I really like most of the sound modifications in version .93 except for the loudness of the combat flaps alarm buzzer in the 109s- it seems much too loud to me. Is there a way to adjust the level without having it affect other sounds?

I have found the location of the sound file- how do I edit it's volume?

A simple way is to left click on the file... select " RECORD"... then select "effects" on the popup....
then use the " increase/decrease volume 25%" to get it how you want it to sound.

NB....Im useing XP, IF your useing another setup then the above may not be applicable.

BLOODY VISTA....Ummmmmmmmm is there an effects button on the record control and if so whats in there when you click on it.?
An alternative is to pull the file into your DVD editing facility and lower the volume there, then put it back into your sound files.
or
e.mail one of the uber moderaters here if anyone can get you sorted they can.

No buttons at all, let alone effects. I'll see what I can do using Nero.

This gets more puzzling yet- I opened the file using wavpad and edited the volume so that it was noticeably quieter when I tested it by playing the file in windows media player. Then I copied it to my files/samples folder in game, overwriting the old file. When I tried it in the game, it plays just a loud as before!?
I am using the new wrapper, but the only place I have found this particular file is in my files/samples folder from my original sound mod version 93 install. Could there be another one hidden away somewhere else that the game is defaulting to?

I just took the sound file out completely from the samples in Files.
What i hear is the original but at a much lower volume.
Both the original and moded sound pretty much the same to me.
