Hi guys,

The otherday after strafing I noticed some damage to the Mosquito which resulted in the exhaust saxophones (shrouds) being shot away on one of my engines. Underneath the cover the exhaust stubs exist in 3D, just like a regular Mosquito. Would it be possible to have a simple mod for the Mosquito F.B where these covers are removed? It would be cool to fly the Mosquito without these ugly things

Does nobody like to undertake the small tasks ? Yes its not as glamourous as making a new plane or turning an existing plane it to something else but in my opinion some of the small mods like the rounded tail Mk IX and the flat canopy A8/D9 have been the best mod.

why no takers?

I make a thread, it gets over 120 views and no replies so I make another post asking why my suggestion is unattractive to the modders and you come in all heavy handed and act like you are telling it the way it is. Read my two posts and then read your reply - what did i say to make you so agitated?

Is relatively easy to understand McFly, we all check this posts in order to see what you require, if is easy or make sense...
But the 99 % of the viewers can't help you, that's why they don't post here. I not became agitated only wanted to tell you ( between lines ) that is really hard to get a 3d model changed.
Really hope you can get you mod created only sorry for not being able to help.

Yeah, I checked out the thread, but I know little about the mosquito in the first place, and I lack the skills to mod it in the 2d place. If I knew how I'd just do it for you.

You might have a look at some of the plane mods in here, and get a feel for what files they have changed, perhaps since you wish to delete something it's as trivial as removing the text line that points to the part...

That's where I'd start. If you figure it out, instead of 2 guys in here that know how to do this stuff, we'll have 3

lol. i asked a sound modder for some help with a sound mod. responce was "dont hold ur breath."
but do i frett and fuss ? no. i understand that the modders have more to do than individual minor tasks.

LOL, my post about the Beaufort got 580views and noone has still made a Beaufort, wonder why? Because there are only about 10% or less of modders among those who read the forum, (other of coursesupport in other ways, doing beta testing, providing information, etc.) and among these 10% maybe 2 or 3 modders know how to do that, and probably these 2 or 3 guys have other projects, or are not attracted by the request, or have their own life, etc...

In other words, this is a community, not "Speedy Pizza"

So that's why I am not whining about that. Simple enough?
