I gather from your tag you are a red pilot; so am I, by majority - but I would like to see some parity.

I would love to see more 109's more than anyone. The 109 - particularly the E, holds a very soft place in my heart, so yes I would love to see it... I also believe that they will get to it - and by the time they do, they will have honed their skills to the point where anything they do will be even BETTER... Wink

As for being a 'red' pilot - I dont really accept the community's concept of dividing between 'red' & 'blue' - ask anyone I fly with; I fly on either side. I guess you could say I'm purple Wink

I know we have a lot of spitfires in the game and i supose i am biased, but i also have a BF 109 B on my PC and the sart of a BF 109 C problem is that some of these are realy awkward to do.

Most of the mods be created are relatively simple one's that they have a hope of doing at the moment. Maybe later even a 3d converter will be done...

If too many people knew how to mod planes then we'd start to have people cheating and other stuff like that. Every group has a leader for a reason.

I'd love to see WIP photos of your Griffon Spit...

So why was the decision finally made to make a mk XII instead of XIV?

Speaking of which: Has anyone spoken to the designer of the IL-2 Spit XIV that never got included?

Keep up the great work.

Brophmeister
i have recieved your pm & was going to reply to it shortly
Yes we do need the Spit Mk1 & we do need Griffon spits as they were important part of spitfire dev.
We are going to be working on german planes - but when people say we dont need more spits look how many Bf109's we have also - there is nothing wrong with having these planes
just be patrient - we very much want to work on german planes too - our FM guy is german & has some plans of his own - please dont worry  - just be patient they are comming

What german aircraft would you like to see in the game ?
Bf109 E1 ?

I'd rather prefer some tropical versions for the F4, G2, G6 or a G4,
with their relevant FM's of course...over the E1, for starters, but whatever you fancy it'll be fine!

Just trhrowing in some suggestions here, don't take this too serious.
I know this will be contoversial, but let me get this through:
I'd really like to see some existing aircraft in game added as a different (new) version with a different FM.
Like most of the FW 190's, most of them have a too high turn time and have a certain kind of propellers modelled, a high speed prop. My idea would be to give those aircraft the performance they had with accaleration props and add them as new planes, renaming the old ones appropriately, so these would still stay the same in on-and offline-play.
Also the Bf-109 G6 has a too high turn time, right now it flies without gondolas as it flew in real life with them on, and with gondolas on it flies even worse, of course. I don't know a solution to this problem, since the flight model is obviously simply wrong and no external differences exist like on the 190's.

So with this solution there would be no direct FM modelling, but new planes instead. This way one would even be able to choose if he wanted to fly a faster or better accelerating 190, simply by selecting another plane.

Ok. I think i have explaned this properly and unmistakable. I'm curious as to the replies (when there will be any, lol).

Just a little bit of info on Mk.XII

Type 366-Mk XII
The first major change to the Spitfire was the introduction of the Griffon engine. Like the Merlin it was a V12 supercharged engine, of 36 litres swept volume rather than the 27 liters of the Merlin. The 4-bladed airscrew also turned the opposite way. The Griffon III or IV fitted to the Mk XII generated around 1720 HP. 100 were produced. A retractable tailwheel appeared early in the production run, and most were clipped-wing, low altitude variants.

And just a minor detail, XII had (at least on all pics I saw) asymetrical radiators like Spit V.

Hiya Jolly,
Thanks heaps. I suppose a Spanish civil war 109 would be great, or an E3. A lot of people are rooting for a Spanish civ war 109, so mabey that? Actually, I personally would love to see a properly done mid war G6 with proper FM (not the dodgy default one), or an F4 with historical loadout. But don't just ask me what I want, its up to the community to root for their respective favourites Big Grin
