Thank you everyone for the kind replies, I do agree that this sim could live on for years if it was updated graphically and more. for olegs team, i guess time is money, but I would definately do as much as i could for free, just cuse it's so much fun! (I also made the stock textures in Il2 for Spitfire V and IX, and the P63C)

Please let me know if i missed ny questions;

Yes the next challenge would definately be the P 47, but from the looks of it, there could be a risk that its not super accurately UV-mapped, and some parts even look like they don't even have textures on them, and if so, they might not have an UV-map either. has anyone looked this up?

I'm making the textures for the FW 190 in 1024, my computer can handle it, but I guess some resizing of the textures would be needed to work on slower computers, I'll definately post the finish one here, and make an additional download for the lighter version. I hope you guys cna help me with some "beta testing" Smile

Thanks again guys, great to browse here

I hope that tga’s files for gauges and indicators are still in WiP phase?

Some of them are still looking very blurry and digits are too white.
Beside that it looks really astonishing. I can hardly wait for it Big Grin

Cool start!

Are you planning for retouching all FW190s?

Keep it up!

Hey guys thanks for the replies!

I think the bar mod could be added on top of this one, I'm basically just saving textures in certain folders...

Yes i'm planning to change all the FW 190 cockpits, the A8 and A9 share the same cockpit so I'm getting one for free, but there's a few individual textures in need to finish the A 5 and A6 (luckilly theyre sharing cockpits too Smile ) the D9 doesn't actually need a lot of work either, but I haven't looked at the TA cockpits.

Some of the gauges are still WIP here's a couple of more screenies with new seat, and replacing of most textures except the painstakingly small gauges and buttons, argh.

cheers

Looks like it has been in lengthy use already
Where the Hell do you get those textures? They look like they're from the real deal, which i guess they're not! Tongue

Oh, and i just saw, on the Variometer (you know, the gauge displaying climb-and sink rate):
The Text should not be ["Steig:" "Sink:"] But ["Steigt" and "Sinkt"] (those words meaning of course "climbs" and "falls/sinks/descends")

Hey Klemm, thanks for the feedback on that, I might need some more help with text and what font they might be

I paint the txtures by "hand" in photoshop, with a wacom tablet, so nothing is photographed or anything like that, i ve got some ref from google but theyre way to low res to steal textures from, the main thing I'm doing is to give everything a little bit of colour, even tho metal and paint looks "grey" the colour is reflecting so much more, in the real world there's basically no such thing as 100% white and 100% blak, grey too Smile also the gauges in the corners need to be "shadowed" and it takes a few shots before i get them right, the shadow from the artificial horizon is actually embedded in the panel texture behind it, and so on.

Please let me know if its TOO weathered, I sort of like it, but all the reference I have so far is photos of old cockpits that might be way too rusty Smile

take care!
