Just a heads up regarding possible conflict with other mods: I discovered that although the stationary ships showed up in "Stationary Ships" list they weren't in the "Ships" list, so the movable ones weren't available. I renamed the mods folder from "ShipPack" to "01ShipPack" so it would load before all other ship mods, chief.ini, ships.ini, etc., and all is fine now.

If you are talking about Fabianfred's destruction mod then these two mods are not compatible at the moment but I wouldn't be surprised if Fabianfred make version of his mod with new ships included.

Unfortunately it was inevitable that at some point there will be conflicts between mods that are using same files. Because of that I have clearly marked all new sections in suspicious files. That way users and other mod makers can easily adjust their files to solve eventual problems.

Quick fix for problems can be by copy pasting parts of files from Ship Mod to other mods. All new parts are marked with ShipPack Start and ShipPack End. Copying these parts into technics.ini , ship.ini, chief.ini and stationary.ini if you are already using this files in one of previously installed mods will solve the problem.

I am at home right now....but I will get on it later today :lol:

probably just need to make a new chiefs/technics/stationary/ships ini which will incorporate both mods' changes from the default settings

....some work...but I don't think it should be difficult, Big Grin

especially since my mod puts each ini in its seperate folder.....

no-one has mentioned the ship sink times....which types get it?

1. Download a free program called .. Winmerge
2. open and open shipPack/com/maddox/il2/objects/technics or stationary or ships or chiefs.ini in Left hand pane
3. open MODS/technics_ini/com/maddox/il2/objects/technics.ini in the Right hand pane

it will show you both files side-by-side and highlight where there are differences

differences from the destruction mod you can ignore......just copy over the new stuff from the ships mod to the right hand one...( you can select a single line or use shift to select a block)

there are two icons above copy left or copy right (not the copy ALL left or copy ALL right)

once done you should have both the ship pack and the destruction mod working OK.....

rename the shipPack folder to z_shipPack so that it comes after the ships ini folder

New ships are in Ships.ini . They made more detailed ships for PF but they didn't wanted to adjust old ships to new standard so they left them in technics.ini. That's why we have two sort of ships in IL2.
