Well, a fix for this would be cool - but IMO the P-40 is NOT an ugly plane.

Idea I agree with Bee ! Like this aeroplane despite its drawbacks, and think that it would be very nice to correct it ( maybe in the way somebody proposed - by cloning wings from P-40B ? ).
My wote for correction !

Not very long ago there were many things I thought I would never see in IL2; Decent sounds, the 190 bar fixed, flyable heavies, a P-47 facelift, a MkI Spit, and the list goes on and on. The goofy P-40 wing dihedral is just wrong and it always bothered the crap out of me because I love flying the beast. I hope we can add it to the list.

I checked them in PS lining up the scale bars. The wings can just be swapped, they seem identical. The only issue will be the MGs.

Why can't the piece of the wing that has the MG's on it be used and the rest of the wing of the P-40B be used? I am sure this is possible :?:
