I just downloaded and installed the 0.6 english sounds mod and the AAA mod pack 2.4 and now when i try to start the game the first screen comes up and says its loading at 5% then it quits, i have no idea what its from. any help??

Can you describe all the handlings you did during installation of every mod?

i figured it out, it was just that i have the ubisoft download. i got the fix and it works great

I have had the same problem as you, what did you need to do to fix it?

Go the the Mods section, download and install the patch for the Ubisoft download version of the sim.

Unfortunately I tried that, it didn't work. I have the DVD version.

Did you use the IL2 configuration program to set your sound to 44100 sample rate?

I got that problem after trying to install some mod, it's a long time ago, so I can't remember which one, install/reinstall soundmod, if that doesn't work, try a different version, if all else fails, reinstall and try again.
