problem by opening map_f.tga

hi, if i go into maps directory, and if i would open tga maps, not all open it.

exemple by Berlin directory: Map_F.tga don't open it by try to view into photoshop, or any other graphic program, know you reason?

because, same map_F.tga, into another directory so as Batalon directory, it open it.

so i ask you, if you have same problem, or if you have sucsess to open all tgal file?

... some tga's are unreadable by standard graph. editors ....

you need to set that tga as game loading screen ( gui\background0.tga) take screencap while game is loading (print screen) and past it as new tga in graph. editor ....resize to original dimension.... edit as you like and save as tga with original values ( 8bit if grayscale or 24bit ... 32bit if alpha channel present)

yup, i know all that ....

for alpha channel you need to create it manually after screen capture

for dimension, well try using dimensions from other map.tga files ( h..T ...) ... for normandy map_F is same size asmap_h and map_T

for textures is 512x512 pix

okey fly_zo i have good news Big Grin

i have success to open and convert all picture in viewable tga file.

and so after i become new filelist.txt (thnx)!!, it remains hexa named files 48 files
a many whas in special format, so i have can convert it to standard tga format.

and this all 48 files, should go in maps subdirectory!
so as here!

this is the 48 remains tga file.

but to moment i have just can identify any directory path, not all, so i should know we i should call this all file.

and on remain 48 files, give a greatest amount with map_c.tga
different size, smalled and mega sized map.

it give another amount of texture file, forest etc...
and 1 map_f_w.tga

and all files contains she original alpha layer.
any don't contains, and so as map_f.tga or any other contains channel + layer.

have you idea to can help, to organize this all files?
because i don't be a gammer, just modder!

sorry but i don't know for the rest of files proper structure .... all i know is that they are tga's and inf's (not even names ...)

this is what i have called far winter map, but don't be sure.
Ok here i have just done 800 pixel size not full map, but, have you nothing game under il2 a mission, we you have can see so map?

can this coming from a full city map?
number of road and tree etc....

and if this are winter season, so should exist same map with summer season or not?
or season coming, if mission whas created by winter or summer batlle?

and so if we know by what city is this mission map, so we can look in load.ini file, to find name of map.
