No easy fix for that, ships are not same class of objects as vehicles. You will need to do some serious Java programming if you want ship convoys IMO.

its not complicated

you need to edit the chiefs.ini

fabianfred got template in his mod pack:

chiefs_ini folder, includes:
-longer passenger train
-new freight trains
-12xPzIV tanks
-15xPzIIIj tanks
-US Tractor

you need only to create new group and copy paste existing lines

this is the entry for the longer cargo train:

btw, to avoid confusion and game crashes I recommend to use fabianfreds ini file as a master template and continue that and only one guy should add new entries and upload to AAA so the latest version should be the only version...

I think we need a volunteer for the coordinator job Smile

Just to avoid confusion, I was talking about ships only, vehicles are easy to arrange in convoys but ships are using different movement engine.

Hope you realize that with ships "convoy" doesn't mean they follow each other line astern.

This is your typical convoy formation - the escorted ships in the square are doing zigzags:

sry I was talkin about vehicles, which was half of the question

for the ship convoys I recommend Mission Mate, its got an advanced fleet handling system much better than anything ingame

Just to get this straight, a m.Panz.Kp. "Panther" for example will consist of 45 vehicles. I don't know if this will be working as smooth as you are hoping for.
