Max size for maps in X and Y?
#1

Hello all,

I want to make a map in 1:1 scale but i don't know the limitations of the max size (in px ).

Map_h, T, F and ed_m01 gonne have a Y and X size of around 5500px. Is this too large? :?

The only limitation i know of is in Photoshop which is 30000px Confusedhock:

Please guys, help me out on this one.

Many thanks in advance! Smile 8)

Hi RAF_Leigh,

So a map (T, F, h ) of 6144px (192 x 32 ) would be a good size?

Thanks in advance!

Northeast France is 400x270.4km -- map_c is 8000x5408 pixels

The amount of map_c detail determines the size of the disected file.
A map with few rivers or land/water boundaries will have a small map_c size compared with a smaller map of a complex area like Irrawaddy Delta.

sorry did not see it

yes it would be good but map c is 4 times bigger than map h or t so you need to watch out on that one

Thanks for replies guys!

Okay i found out that its possible to have a map (t, h, f etc. ) size of 5120 x 5120 px max size if the map contains islands. If there is more 'land' than max size of map will be 4096px... Well in my case that is... Smile

To bad that it's not possible to make a north african map + sicily and a part of italy scale 1:1... that's the way it is...

Okay that's it for now... I'am back to the drawing board... 8)
