We want this mod!!!

A question: If am I the host and I have installed this one, do the clients conected to me, see the complete unit column? Or do they see the standard unit column?

Pls, could anyone to pack all this modifications in one mod to download? (When be finished)

Some stuff needs to be done prior to any release.

A major point someone in the know needs to investigate and hopefully come to a solution with, is the addition of guns as rolling stock. Perhaps they could be added as tanks after being rotated and tilted to look like being towed.

It's easy to make guns for columns there are two possible way but each one of them have some drawbacks.

FC, what would the two ways be?
The way I was thinking is faulty, it would lead to nonsense if the truck "towing" the gun is destroyed...

lower the panzer setting of the gun and /or increase the damage of truck and should get a domino effect.

One option is to make new vehicle with gun mesh. That object you can use in convoys behind the truck.

Another option is to make vehicle that is made of truck mesh and gun mesh combined. Only drawback of this option is when in turns this vehicle will turn around single pivot point unlike RL where truck and towed gun will pivot around different points.

Seems to me second one is better, I think the drawback you mention would be very hard to spot while in flight (truck and cannon being very close to each other). The first one also I don't know how to implement in a large vehicle column. because equidistance of vehicles: while you want to have the gun immediately after a truck but the vehicle behind the gun to be at normal distance.
Ok, I'll try to do it during next days, although never fiddled with composite mesh objects :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Yes. What you see is just a 5 minutes work, I only wanted to demonstrate the concept. There are 4 parts there. Truck is single mesh object but gun have three meshes and you can move all of these parts to desired locations.

Yes. What you see is just a 5 minutes work, I only wanted to demonstrate the concept. There are 4 parts there. Truck is single mesh object but gun have three meshes and you can move all of these parts to desired locations.

unless someone has the same data in his static.ini file...he will only see the standard....IF you use the same name.... so if you add extra to the Pz 111 x 4 column to make it have 15 vehicles....anyone not having the data will still see the 4 tanks....but if you make a NEW column called Pz111x15...they will not see it at all...

Be aware that vehicle convoys use more processing power and affect the FPS , than the same number of individual vehicles each acting independantly....
