Hi all,
i would like to try the sound mod and some me-109 cockpit mods, but I still hesitate to install it, because it seems to overwrite some of the original files in the games folder.
The questions:
1. Which files are overwritten, so I can backup them seperately, I don't have enough space to backup the whole directory.
2. Which sounds are modified via the sound mods? I especially dislike the sounds of the allied planes that I flew. I'm only flying inside the cockpit. I that changed?

I'm especially bohtered by the engine sounds. Are they modded yet?

it says "english" sound mod - can I use it with the german version of 1946 at all?

It adds files, more than replacing files. The only thing that you really should 'back up' is your .exe

it says "english" sound mod - can I use it with the german version of 1946 at all?

yes, but makes things in english, thus the name. There is a mod that changes the English mod to Deutsch somewhere here.
