HA 1112 "Buchón" (Spanish 109)
#1

Smile One of my favourites aviation movies of all times is 1968's "The Battle of Britain" Altough it never saw action in WWII (only in the spanish IFNI conflict during the 50's, I belive), wouldn't it will be cool to have this aircraft available for flying in our favourite combatsim? I guess our skilled "aircrafters" out there will have little problem, if any, to make this new plane (after all, is kind of a mixture between Bf-109G2 and P-51 or Spit). I hope someone wants to give it a try.

Here's a link to a bunch of beautiful pics of this plane

By the way, I read somewhere that the HA 1112 which played the role of "Yellow 11" in the movie was later sold to a group in Germany and was restored as a BF109G ("R

There's one of these in Ottawa in the Canada Aviation Museum, this bird is allegedly one of the 'stars' of the Battle of Britain movie.

You are of course absolutely right.... There's many an old girl out there... never mind that, lol!
Why however would you want this aircraft when you have the proper 109 in game with which to fight the allies...??? Just asking.

I see the Buchon flying several times a year, still impressive to watch, but it just doesn't beat the looks and sound of the original..
Saw the Buchon last month at Old Warden.. It came in flat out over the runway just above the trees.. The pilot had it banked over so we could see all the markings.. pretty good stuff! Confusedhock:

Dont get me wrong my plane in game is always the 109, but seeing that plane (and having a spanish heritage) just caused me to be attracted to it, unexplainable; yet explained.
