i installed il2 forgotten battles and noticed that the version was 1.00 for the game. after installing the ace expansion pack, the version was bumped up to 2.04. I was wondering if 2.04 was the latest version for JUST il2 FB+AEP (no pacific fighters), and if its not, can someone post some links to update it? thanks!
2.04 is the latest version for that combination.
Get '46, it'll give you everything you could ask for and more. But it is much harder on my computer than FB+AEP, though.
darnit! i made the mistake of getting forgotten battles and the expansion pack before doing research, and now i realize that 1946 is better and that all the online players play on it. its so boring that noone plays online for the combination anymore...but thanks for the reply
Yes 46 has FB & The AEP + PF, Pe-2 & 46..
after installing 46...which is 4.07...you need to update with the 4.08m patch...then use the 4.09beta mod version from here.....and install the switcher too which will easily change you back to 4.08 for on-line play
