Scale quick question - Map making-
#1

So I know using Microdem, that a 1=50 scale will give me a 1.1 scale map n il-2 right? And a 1=200 for the H and T.

BUT, if I go for a 1.2 scale, I should have a 1=100 C map right?
Then, should I go 1=400 for H and T or still use the 1=200 ?

In other words, do map_h and map_t get scaled too when changing the sclae of C or is it independant and the onlly thing that correspond to the size of the map and its scale is map_c?

As far as I know, the ratio between map_c size and that of map_h and map_T is constant, so if you use 100 metres per pixel rather than 50 for map_c, you should use 400 metres per pixel for map_h and map_T.

Yes, that makes sense, Thanks Gerrit.

just make sure final dimension is dividable by 32 or you'll have texture tearing effect

as far as the map_C file goes...it isn't only size which matters, but also complexity......so a map_C with mostly ocean or land will be smaller than one with very convoluted coastlines and many rivers
