Could you please remove the swastika. It was not meant to be in place after the ship entered its service life.

Artist licence.. it never entered service anyway, saw zilch action, so it can't be termed 'historicaly correct' can it..

One should at least tick to the regulations of the Kriegsmarine, ok? This whole "it never entered service to lets get absurd about it" is really getting on my nerves...

I'm neither for or against it, but aren't you just forgetting something?
Its the modder who decides what he wants it to look like, regardless of the state of your nerves!
Simple as really..

That would be like saying, a Me262 with three engines, thats artistic license...thats bull. Nothing personal against you Trooper, you only stated a common thinking, but that is the biggest nonsense I ever heard. Artistic license stops were reality and moreover FACTS begin.

I rest my case M'lud!..
So if we have a 'what if' campaign using all the 1946 nonsense, including the Lerche, which was a fantastic fighter wasn't it?? Not.. As non of it has any historical correct significance whatsoever, it should be got rid of? Is that tantamount to the same thing maybe?.. or not?
Hang on though, if we mark it up with the correct markings that would be fine in your eyes.. Ok, just checking mate, I thought you were being deadly serious for a split second there.. Phew!..

What would the whole 1946 whiners only do without the Lerche. Makes me laugh to see the deep grief that is coming from that plane.

Anyway, as I already said before and won't stop doing again, the Graf Zeppelin was planed and build and all necessary data about it is available. There is nothing except combat reports that sets it apart from any other carrier in WWII.

There is no room for debate, only hard facts about her.

and yes, having the Illustrious as an odd cross dresser for her is laughable, but an option at this given moment in the IL2 modding world, but nonetheless she should be made with the right mind set for historical accuracy as far as its possible due to given limitations.

I agree, but as long as we're dressing up another carrier, I don't think giving it a wee german flag is enough.

Kriegsmarine ships did have a swastika like that at some point in their careers at least, so I can't see anything wrong with it. It's just a stylized skin.

When we have a proper Graf Zeppelin, we can talk again. And even then there's nothing wrong with somebody making a stylized skin for it.

Sure, but would you be happy with a Saratoga in full flag like ready for a parade while playing a pacific campaign?

It would be a stylized skin but out of place just like a Graf Zeppelin with a giant swastika on her flight deck.
