Hi there- installed a bunch of mods and now have the game loading in Russian splash screen, but then it quits. Sometimes as it is loading, some times as I load a mission from the QMB.

I had a stable version of 4.08M which I archived prior to installing these (list of installed mods)


Here is a shot of my MODS folder


Did I install to much, not enough, or in wrong order? I tried following the steps on the related pages.

Any help much appreciated

More info, if it helps:

- tried starting game with TrackIR 3, software version 4.1 software, game crashes to desktop 5 out of 5 times

- tried starting game without TrackIR software, game starts 4 out of 4 times. Was able to crank up QMB, although without expanded map list (I had appended the the config.ini with the custom map list). LOVED the new engine sounds- the Allison in the P39, and the BF109G's engine- stellar

Now if I can just get the TrackIR 6dof going, that'd be great.

Any ideas helpful.

Got it! All I had to do is reinstall MOD_Activator_v5_2_IL2_4_08.exe, then (because it wasn't finding the MTO and other maps,) reinstall 409_MOD_b1m.exe.

That gave me a splash screen in English, made MTO map load, and 6dof enabled. Said 4.08m, 4,09b- MODS enabled!

Evidently I had installed something out of sequence, but being like a kid in a candy store I installed all the stuff I wanted right away

4 me the same prob : recents mods add-on caused CTD at 60% I've cured with installing latest A/C installer and then A/C latest mods (like 410, Hurry D serie etc.. ) in REVERSE order- strange but now all ok
