QMB Maps question

So I must have something in the original install out of place. Not knowing just how these files & folders all go together I don't even know where to start looking for the out of place files..

If a map shows up in FMB but not in QMB then you obviously misspelled it's name in conf.ini. Make sure your map names in [quick] section are correct.

PapaG39 Wrote:Do you have any Online designated names showing up in your QMB settings area?

In QMB I have just the maps listed in [quick] section, stock or modded doesn't matter.

PapaG39 Wrote:So if have the game installed twice on the same C drive, buit in different folders & with different names you think it should work o.k. with no conflicts between the two in the registry? Maybe I'll try doing that just for grinns...

I don't think so, I'm sure Smile As vpmedia said before this game doesn't use any registry entries. So you don't even need to do usual installation. Much faster is to copy current installation to another place and do whatever modding you want... Big Grin

Well...slap me up-side the head & call me late for dinner..

I changed [Quick] (my spelling) to [quick] (your spelling) and Slovakia showed up...Mystery solved!

In the conf.ini files some of those headings enclosed with the [xxx] brackets are lower case & some are upper case... I think that was created to drive me more off the brink...

Thanks for hanging in there with me on this. You never know what simple thing may change the course of the investigation & cause closure..... Big Grin

May I jump in here with a quick question?

I'm a total newbie at mods and I'm having trouble with the QMBPlus download. It's in my root directory okay but nothing is showing in the QMB maps panel except the standard maps.

Reading this thread it looks like I'm supposed to add a new section [quick] at the bottom of my main config.ini file. Is this correct and do I then have to manually enter the desired maps?

Would you be kind enough to show me the correct format for these entries?

Many thanks

Gotta write it down Big Grin

Me often use this one:

Yes, that's correct. And you have to manually enter as many entries as you desire. As an example here's my current quick section:

[quick]
Custom0=Crimea
Custom1=Okinawa

Note. Numbers must be continuous.
