'Primitive' here probably means ....muddy.....no hard standing ...i put the dual strip there for now...it isn't much wider than a single and allows for side-by-side take-off/landings

IMO Mingaladon at Rangoon is one of the most important airfields in the whole CBI Theater.
So thanks to both of your efforts! YOU got it right! Excellent!
I still can't believe MrOblongo found that map of Mingaladon-an unbelievable find! I just wish there were more airfield diagrams like that.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of the scenery. The mountain ranges, airfields, and FF's landscape are fantastic! :!:

I got the New map with New Hangar mods and finally found and added the Thai flag I had lost.
Everything looks great.
Thanks for adding all the new strips.
Tak/Raheng strip needs to be smoothed.
Moulmein strip needs more smoothing. It has a grassy patch on the strip in front of the large hangar.

Note: Old missions I made on previous maps work on the new map. YAY! But I can't get the FMB to open them. :x

EDIT:
I can't save a new mission in the FMB now. Is it because I don't have the new Yellow Tree and Thai house? Where can I find these? Which download are they in?
Can we download Your newest static.ini file? Will that work if I switch it with the present one I have?

I replaced the new actors.static file with the old one. It saves missions with the old one. Evidently my problem has something to do with the new objects you placed on the map. HELP PLEASE Sad

don't get confused between the actors.static file and the static.ini file

the actors is a part of the map and logs all the Objects and airfields and bridges placed upon the map

the static.ini is a list of all Objects you have in your il2 game (including clones and newly made ones

Your all-in-one Thai map pack should have all the latest objects....but the new actors.static which is in the update has the new airfields etc. and there is a new map_h because I altered the height in places to get the ground level where the airstrips are..
the new map_t is for some altered textures around the airstrips too
the new texts file is adding the names for the new airfields

my last set of ini.files should have the yellow tree and thai house ...but only listed in the static.ini.

the all-in-one Thaimap pack has them too...

but I also used some of the new hangers from the Lal_Rone set...so you need to install his set of hangers

I will put the yellow tree and thai houses in my site as an extra....

IMPORTANT INFO, AIRSTRIP DIMENSION OF MOST AIRFIELDS (For Rangoon Battle).

Ok, found in the same site these maps. It shows the locations of bases...and their airstrip size!
For example, Moulmein was a 1000x300 field. (Meters as showing the ilustration)

This one is interesting because it shows the satellite bases of Mingaladon. "Mingaladon of course is the main Rangoon airfield. Hmawbi is the RAF dispersal field known to the Allied pilots as Highland Queen. Hlegu was known as Zayatkwin to the RAF and was the base for its Bristol Blenheim bombers. " Note the Mae-Sot airfield.

I added the yellow tree and farm files and had the hangar files by LaRone already but I still can't get the FMB to save.
Is there a line of text to add to the static.ini for the new yellow tree and farm house?

Ok, just replaced my actual actors.ini with the one in the Thaimap pack and voila!, all solved, and i actually see the hangars Tongue.

That's strange because I replaced the actors.static with the new one from the map pack this morning. I can see all the new hangars and airfields but I still can't save a mission. I did notice there wasn't a line of text for the new yellow tree and new house in the static.ini though.

I've been working on this problem all day and it's getting very frustrating Cry
