Does anyone know if the mistel actually had a 'mushroom' like explosion? I cannot find any proof or so about this. And it starts to make me wonder....

If its NOT correct, then maybe the idea of changing the effect of the mistel explosion possible?

Yep, I have to agree the hugh jass mushroom cloud is way over the top. IMHO I think theyve just given the mistel the effect of the FAB-5000.

I've seen many large explosions for real that produce a 'mushroom cloud'.. It's not just limited to a nuclear type bomb.

Fuel-air bombs (aka thermobaric bomb) can produce a mushroom cloud.

Yes, I've seen plenty of mushroom clouds from (often quite benign) explosives, however I have yet to see your stereotypical retro 60's nuke style cloud coming from anything other than a nuke.

Plus, the FAB5000 and the Mistel are two obviously very different weapons, so wouldn't it be nice to have unique effects?

I have a combat pilot in my neighborhood. At a party a few weeks ago they were talking about bomb effects and said they can be quite dramatic.... look up videos on youtube... e.g. "Grass cutter" (how they cleared vegitation in Vietnam....)

Actually, it was called "daisy cutter" :lol: but I'm sure itcould cut grass if it tried. Did a search on youtube for grass cutter and got a whole lot of videos of people mowing lawns. Then I did a search for daisy cutter and turned up a whole lot of videos of the game World In Conflict, which I really don't want to sift through....
