Is this an actgual mod or is it a modded cockpit? Is this some thng that can be added to any pit or is it hardcoded into that one?

If that is a hard coded cockpit someone with the skills should consider doing a mod that would enable one to insert a picture in a particular spot on several cockpits... Maybe assign the image sort of like the .tga s in the spalsh screens.

I know it is a modded pit.. but what I meant was.. was that a mod that could go on any cockpit...? If not it would be a good one to have.

Bearcat, that is a total repaint of the Bf-109 cockpit(s) - the 'sweetheart' picture is as much a part of the 'pit as the gauges and other 'fixed' components.

So yes, it can be done in other pits (by doing a repaint of the pit), but it can't just be added as a generic mod for all pits - it must be done one pit at a time - a pretty big job given the number of flyable planes available!

Yeah.... that would be cool if you could figure a way to put a generic say 64x64 spot on a cockpit.. with a switcher to select the pit... and then put the tga of your choice on there...

Maybe, but just maybe. Cockpits (and planes as well) in IL2 are not done all at once so almost everyone of them is different from others. 3D parts are put together in "different way"; textures are mapped onto 3D object in different manner, that is BTW why are some cockpits looking bad while they have better 3D models. One can do a lot of trickery in one cockpit and very little in the other, and that cockpits looking almost same. So, that’s why it is just maybe.
