The skin is nice with historical late-war JG54 paintsheme, but wrong markings!
The emblem on the engine cowling is the one of 2/JG54 (2nd Staffel/Ist Gruppe),and the one in the heart, beneath the cockpit is belonging to III/JG54.

A total non-sence.

Hi, Gringo :!: Big Grin

That's a Capt. Farrel skin and he has an excellent track record of getting things right so I did a little research. Below is a photo of Dortenmann himself standing on the wing of the plane in question. Notice the cowling :!:

I've looked at the jg54 historical site and i saw that the a/c was relocated from III to I gruppe of JG54.
The insignia wasn't repained, only the 2nd staffel synbol added.

I might be JG54 Group commander but i can't know exactly all the pilots of the geschwader.. Wink

So...my fault on this one.

No "fault" here, Gringo. You raised a reasonable question. I did some research and found those to be the actual markings and you did some research and found out how that came to be. Together we solved a little mystery :!: Big Grin

   Thanks, Shooter :!: Big Grin

Could be one of yours but if it is I suspect it's an early version. I've seen what appears to be the same aircraft but with much better detail and highlights than this one and I know that the better one was made by you.
