Man, awesome map,



I just flew a B25 from Tunisia upto Malta then to sicily up the italian coast and landed in Greece, was avery long flight

When I installed the files directly to my 4.09 install, part of the information about changing the lines was missing. It only said "vol_ItalyAfricaGre.. etc"
So, I dumped all the files through install into a temp directory and there the full line was there "vol_ItalyAfricaGreece vol_ItalyAfricaGreece/vol_ita_load.ini" that I needed to place in the all.ini file.

This map is absolutley Georgeous!

This map does not install 100% correctly.. it will not place the line in the all.ini correctly.

However in 5 minutes my limited programming knowledge has solved this.

1. Install the map

2. Open up: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\MAPMODS\maps

3. Look down the notepad document to the following line:

mrz_Malta_high mrz_Malta/mrz_load_high.ini vol_ItalyAfricaGre.. etc

4. Move the second bit (highlighted in red) to the end of the document on a new line.

5. Remove the  from the front of new line

6. Load map from Full Mission Builder

Are you: Running in 4.091b?

Have you: Added this line to your all.ini in the map mods folder:

vol_ItalyAfricaGreece vol_ItalyAfricaGreece/vol_ita_load.ini

Have you: Added this line in your conf.ini in the main game folder:

CustomX=vol_ItalyAfricaGreece (X is whatever order you have map in)

Have you: Made a simple 4 flight mission for each side,with simple waypoints,and saved it as:

vol_ItalyAfricaGreeceBlueNone00
and vol_ItalyAfricaGreeceRedNone00 in your missions/quick folder?

I finally got to fly around this one a bit thanks to Uther's mission files. What a nice, varied map! All kinds of little details, such as mountain lakes and little airstrips.
This would be a great map for online campaigns.

Hey RedFox,
Any idea when this will be ready, no rush its just that I'm doing a 40 mission campaign with your map and I'm stuck at # 10 until I get the railroads added. Thanks for your hard work too.
