I notice most CTD's are at 60% my latest one happens at 70% after installing the Spit MKVc/MkVIII, Mosquito and Tempest mods ?? I understand its related to either of my AIR.INI/WEAPONS_RU and PLANE_RU files in the STD folder but I cant find any errors.

I only have one BUTTONS file, I installed both the WRAPPER and AC_INSTALLER 2.6 prior to installing the mods in question - but cant now get the game to load past 70% !!

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling each of the new planes but the game still wont load past 70%, I tried temporarily disabling the STD folder as well but no joy there either. I notice on uninstalling that several blocks of data were left in my WEAPONS_RU for each plane ?? (I deleted them)

The game worked perfectly before this with near enough every mod installed! Is there anyway to disable ALL the new Aircraft (delete the entries in the AIR.INI), revert to default WEAPONS_RU/PLANE_RU and then reinstall each one in turn to find the culprit ? Would this work?

Can someone PM copies of the AIR.INI/WEAPONS_RU and PLANE_RU files for me to compare?

At the moment I cant open IL2 at all so i'm grounded so to speak till I can resolve this!!

BTW,I notice there are several copies of the WEAPONS_RU & PLANE_RU files in; IL2 il8n, IL2/files/il8n and ones in my original mods folder from days gone by - do we need them all? In fact do we need duplicate copies of the il8n folder ?

OK, for the search engine:

I did a lot of rtfm here and solved it simply by deleting the files and mod directories and completly reinstalling the unified intalllation. After that it worked like a charm. Don't know what messed it up in the beginning though.
Now I enjoy the VMF213 Hellhawks campaign :-) Great work, thank you all!

Ive got the same problem but I am not sure what caused this crash. I had it working after going to a clean install and upgrade to the unified install. I added a bunch of objects and other mods from here. Not sure which one is causing my problem. Dont really want to start all over again.

from experience i have found that 60% ctd is caused by installing planes with the incorrect A/C installer.

I found my problem to be shippack2. I deleted all my mods and started fresh. I saved the shippack for the end to see if it was the cause. The game would load before installing it but 70% CTD after installing it. Not sure what the problems are with it.

Ended up installing the Unified Installer - worked great for weeks now have 5% Not responding at game load after installing Slot 1.2 ??
