Hey what can I say, I'm very grateful for everything the modding community has done, but was wondering if anything getting worked on using the flyable bombers like the b-17, b-24, po-2

An 8th airforce campaign, or campaign including the 588th bomber regiment using uv-2's, or fix up using the other soviet bombers as a campaign....i also look forward to when we see some flyable British bombers sometime modeled in like the lancaster or wellington done and flyable..

I've played other games and flown these bombers and they do have campaigns like Combat Flight Sim 2 and 3 and Fighter Squadron Screaming Demons Over Europe, but I think since it's modded with il2 1946 we should get some bomber campaigns in there ya know...lemme know if anything is gettin worked on and would love to see any wip shots...

Although many think that using the FMB is a 'dark art'.. Why not give missions and then campaign building a go yourself.
I could link you to forums and sites that give lots of help and step by step instructions on what to do to get started.. and then we would be able to see your very own creation taking shape as you progress..

But yes get tutorials, gets some reading material and create your own campaign! It's worth the Work!!

Hi!
Do you mean the addition of new aircraft and to provide these aircraft dynamic campaigns?
This is possible, I have on hand the campaign for Soviet aircraft - Il-4 and SB-2, going the other day to try and campaign for the MBR-2 to do (though there will be difficulties, you need to make hydro aircraft take off from water).
I think that there is no problem forcing fly in campaigns and B-17/24/29 . :wink:

I've done all the research and got lots of skins assembled, and made a few trial missions to see how many plans can 'fit'. Unfortunately I haven't progressed beyond there but I do intend to. It'll be two campaigns - one form the LW side, the other from the 8th AF side. Both will probably use airstarts as I prefer action to long flight times.

I am working on a bomber campaign, for the Ki-21 I "Sally", set in 1941-42, during the conquest of Malaya, It is called "Singapore Blitz". Will hopefully post in a week or so.

When i've finished my 325th FG campaign flying the P40 - ' Checkertails Across The Med' , i will be starting on ' Hell's Angels - Tour Of Duty 1 - to hell and back! The story of the 303rd Bombardment Group, one of the early B17 Groups of the 8th Airforce flying from England, this unit became one of the top B17 BGs, and picked up the name Hell's Angels after a B17 of the same name became the very first B17 and crew to complete 25 missions. you will fly B17F Hell's Angel from late 1942 - and finish with the Schweinfurt raid 17th August 1943.

Checkertails should be finished before Christmas, Hell's Angels in Qtr 1 2009 !
