getting fps drop when landscape = perfect

hi,

i got a major fps drop when i set the landscape detail to perfect ingame.

i have a nvidia 8500 gt 256mb
processor : interl pentium dual core 2.2 ghz
ram : 2gb

what is wrong doctor?

it might be the graphics card but you have a dual core which the game is not designed to run on

Horse feathers! I'm running Duo Core E6850 @ 3.00GHz, 4 Gb ram on Vista, GeForce 8800 GT 512 mb. The Sim runs beautifully.

what is the hardware shaders ?

in my config.ini, they are set to 1
maybe its that?

The Nvidia 8500GT is probably the problem as that is a low end graphics card. If you want an older card that runs this sim well, then the 7800 or 7950GT were excellent cards, for a newer card the 8800GT or the 9800 cards are great.
