Focke Wulf A Models (43-45)brainstorming and collecting data
#1

This topic is occupied with the collection of data for the Fw-190A 5 up to 9. We soon will have the early models:

Fw-190A-1
Fw-190A-2
Fw-190A-3
Fw-190A-4-N

The "-N" means, there was a oleg version before. this slot will not be touched. So we have to make a new slot with changed name. "-N" is new. The A series will go on with the Fw-190A-5-N and will end at the Fw-190A-9-N. I did not include the ata versions because I do not have any historical information about that plane. Here is the list:

Fw-190A-5-N
Fw-190A-6-N
Fw-190A-7-N
Fw-190A-8-N
Fw-190A-9-N

Ooooh I have a flash in my brain!!!!! Confusedhock: Idea Idea Idea

We do not have to write "Fw-190A-5-N" ... we will write "Fw-19oA-5"

The zero in the 190 now is a little o (litte "Oscar"). So the complete new A series whould look like this:

Fw-19oA-1
Fw-19oA-2
Fw-19oA-3
Fw-19oA-4
Fw-19oA-5
Fw-19oA-6
Fw-19oA-7
Fw-19oA-8
Fw-19oA-9

I will set a link from the [WIP] A-3 to this topic. So you can drive on your discussion here.

I like what you are doing I also have an idea for you when it come naming Fw 190.

Instead of calling them Fw 19o-series.. How about if you call them:

Fw 190 with AAA at end, where you would know it is Fw 190s add-on mods that is released from AAA where you would leave the Fw 190 name without having to change these name?

For example:

Fw-190A-1 (AAA)
Fw-190A-2 (AAA)
Fw-190A-3 (AAA)
Fw-190A-4 (AAA)
Fw-190A-5 (AAA)
Fw-190A-6 (AAA)
Fw-190A-7 (AAA)
Fw-190A-8 (AAA)
Fw-190A-9 (AAA)

OR

Fw-190A-1
Fw-190A-2
Fw-190A-3
Fw-190A-4
Fw-190A-5
Fw-190A-6
Fw-190A-7
Fw-190A-8
Fw-190A-9

OR

Fw-190A-1 =AAA=
Fw-190A-2 =AAA=
Fw-190A-3 =AAA=
Fw-190A-4 =AAA=
Fw-190A-5 =AAA=
Fw-190A-6 =AAA=
Fw-190A-7 =AAA=
Fw-190A-8 =AAA=
Fw-190A-9 =AAA=

OR

Fw-190A-1 -AAA-
Fw-190A-2 -AAA-
Fw-190A-3 -AAA-
Fw-190A-4 -AAA-
Fw-190A-5 -AAA-
Fw-190A-6 -AAA-
Fw-190A-7 -AAA-
Fw-190A-8 -AAA-
Fw-190A-9 -AAA-

OR

Fw-190A-1_AAA
Fw-190A-2_AAA
Fw-190A-3_AAA
Fw-190A-4_AAA
Fw-190A-5_AAA
Fw-190A-6_AAA
Fw-190A-7_AAA
Fw-190A-8_AAA
Fw-190A-9_AAA

OR

Fw-190A-1 *AAA*
Fw-190A-2 *AAA*
Fw-190A-3 *AAA*
Fw-190A-4 *AAA*
Fw-190A-5 *AAA*
Fw-190A-6 *AAA*
Fw-190A-7 *AAA*
Fw-190A-8 *AAA*
Fw-190A-9 *AAA*

OR

Fw-190A-1 **AAA**
Fw-190A-2 **AAA**
Fw-190A-3 **AAA**
Fw-190A-4 **AAA**
Fw-190A-5 **AAA**
Fw-190A-6 **AAA**
Fw-190A-7 **AAA**
Fw-190A-8 **AAA**
Fw-190A-9 **AAA**

I think something less eye-catchy might be a lot better.

Maybe like

*Fw 190A-3

The * makes it look differently and will catch everybody's attention right away without making too much of a mess of the a/c's correct designation.

Please note there should be no dash between "Fw" and "190". IIRC, the original designation in-game is wrong:
The correct designation should read "Fw 190A-3", not "FW-190A3" or "FW190A3" or anything else.

Why not just use their full names?

Focke Wulf Fw190A-5
Focke Wulf Fw190A-6

No need for non-historical tags and symbols.

What he said made sense since the Original planes of IL-2 doesnt' include full name. So giving all added plane a full name would help us being able to tell which planes are il-2's plane or AAA add-on aircrafts.

So I would say, go for either:

*(plane short name) or full plane name.

Maybe Tank FW-190 or Tank-190 or some other variant of symbols.

Because in this way we can accent that these planes are the closest to prof. Tank's design as much as possible (opposed to Oleg's vision).

Hi Paulo,

we're currently researching if the stock FW-190 A sounds from the original Sound Mod instal are from BMW or anything else.If they're from original BMW engine, then we cannot use your sounds, because i know that they are from soon finnished from restauration FW-190,which is currently using some russian radial engine, which is sounding like the LA-5 engine to me.
But if those stock sounds are not from BMW,then we'll use yours. Wink

p.s.

not exist an Oleg 190A7, so don't need to write FW-19o-A7 but FW-190-A7
