my il-2 is very slow and constantly freezes up. it works fine with a maximum of about 8 planes with 2 different kinds of planes e.g. 4 spits vs. 4 he-111. otherwise it is slow and lags the whole time. maps (with the exception of online islands1) take 5-10 minutes to come up. also is it possible to switch back to 4.08 even though i have 4.09? any suggestions on how to speed it up would be appreciated. thanks!
Some ideas:
- set your resolution to a lower setting for the game
- reduce your video card settings like turn off vertical synch,
- make your video modes on good instead of excellent or perfect in game setup
Other ideas
- get more memory for your computer if it has any free slots
- get a beefier video card with more memory
- upgrade your whole computer to get a faster processor

I'd Recommend a whole new computer, but if u can't, try to get more ram, thats your problem.
