maybe its the brightness of the muzzle flash itself ???
i use the updated version of the plane shine mod, and a metalic skin. perhaps that is the issue ?

You see the same coloring inside the cockpit too, when the muzzleflash itself isn't visible.

Avala's planeshine mod doesnt influences anything except the reflections from some angles.

A question for you Vpmedia.

I really like the new muzzle flash, man so many cool new additions coming every day now! Wow!

Anyway, over at Ubi you posted this screen grab:

Can you tell me what explosion mod that is, it looks really, really good!

Hi all.

Could somebody make a videoclip of the new muzzle flash, cause I can't test it, as my rig is up for repair (reinstall and everything) - and I'm much interested in this...

Until now I've found the muzzle flashes ridicolous - cartoonlike. See a lot of WWII footage and u'll see, that there's hardly any fire to notice at all, when firing cannons and guns.

So hopefully Ur MOD is much better than the default ones, Vpmedia - they normally are...
Big Grin

Hello, Istvan. Sent you an e-mail couple o'days ago...

About the new textures: just tried those. Not bad! Just a little notice: IMHO the new textures look a little too crisp all around the edges. I've found some photoes for you:

Keep up the good work!

I hope you're doing great.

Cheers and regards,

Hi.

Nice pic's Mangas. But the flash of a gun stays in a split of a second and is very fluid like. Often there's hardly any fire to see, when viewing with own eyes - Ur mind doesn't persive it, just mere puffs and smoke.
Don't know weather this would be possible to simulate or not, but perhaps we should have a muzzle flash, that only showed for every 10-20 shots fired. The muzzleflash should be a very short one, short in terms of length of time and it should be randomly generated or picked among many different ones, that are premade (bitmaps i presume).
Am I being clear, or is this black talk to U guys???

In at least two of those shots its certain that they are firing blank ammunition.. Firing blanks always produces a much higher muzzle signature.. so don't count those
I teach weapons and go on the ranges and field firing on a weekly basis.
It's very easy to take a split second picture and show a flash as the gun is fired.. in reality, during the day, as your eyes are not a digital camara, you don't see this massive flash that the camera picks up!
but as I say, blanks give a much bigger signature than live ammunition..

Thx trooper, for Ur support - I presume U agree with my post or partly with what I said. Would also be better for those making films over the il-2 game, if the muzzle flash were to be removed or decimated into minimal flashes now and then.
