Ok guys i could eliminate the stuttering, last week i bought a 9800 gtx+, and still get stutters, but i found something interesting, using nhancer along with nvidia control pannel stutters are gone.

here is my conf for nvidia pannel, both global and for il2.
i just use the same settings in nhancer as it's detect your settings at first launch, for some reason stutters has gone, try it out, this may can help you.

Also using Latest dll's set.

My graphic config is

Forest=3
Effects=2
Water=4

This are the global settings:

Anisotropic Filtering: (16x)
Antialiasing-Gamma correction: (on)
Antialiasing-Mode: Enhance the application settings
Antialiasing-setting: (8x)
Antialiasing-Transaparency: (supersampling)
Conformant texture clamp: (Use hardware)
Error reporting: (off)
Extension limit: (off)
Force mipmaps: (none)
Maximun pre-rendered frames: (3)
Multi display/mixed-GPU acceleration: (Single display performance)
Texture filtering-Negative LOD bias: (Clamp)
Texture filtering-Quality: (High Quality)
Threaded optimization: (off)
Triple Buffering: (off)
Vertical Sync: (off)

Have you looked at

:?:
Maybe stuttering effect is caused by a setting in your config.ini, try effects=1 instead of effects=2

i'm using the dll's from march 2008.

GeneralPsycho, in nvidia control pannel you can set global setting for all aplication and also set especific setting for each game, is in the advanced 3d mangement section.

yo thanks potenz, glad you solved your stuttering problem. unfortunately for me i already have tried those exact settings, and still the dreaded stutters for me. i am thinking that because i am using multiple gpu that this may make my problem worse than if i was using single gpu. quad sli is nothing but problems across the board, even reduced perforance in some games :evil:

I updated nVidia drivers from 178.13 to 178.24 and the stutters simply disappeared. Big Grin

I've tested online and offline, one GF8800GT and SLI, and haven't had any stutters at all. I haven't changed anything in conf.ini or in driver settings.

Like many, I have had the stutters with water 3 or 4 and NVIDIA drivers. My system is a modest dual core Intel 2.0 o/c to 2.75 and 3gb RAM with a 7600GT
I have tried all the fixes published and appreciate so much the efforts you guys have put in to try and help the issue.

It can be fixed by reducing the settings down to water=0 or 2, but it frustrated me to have to do this. My problem was particularly bad when looking out of the side on wonderful maps like the C. Channel map.

The other day I found a post on the other side giving a link to another version of the NVIDIA drivers specifically targeted at people like us! Well, I took the plunge and downloaded it after removing the latest NVIDIA driver.

I'm astonished to tell you that it is amazing! My FPS has gone up, the stutters have all but gone and the settings are all still made using the NVIDIA presentation and taylored for IL2 as before.

I used the 1.16369 driver for Windows XP. Here is the link:-

It may not help everyone, but I'm just over the moon with it.
