how can you hate BnZ? Pilots used this tactic, for it was generally a safe tactic.

plus, it priceless when you file up behind someone and the nyou notice them jerk hard to avoid you, to no avail.

I use the 190 since the original IL-2 game and I love this plane; I think Spitfire and La-5/7 are easier to use when make TnB without regardless of physical stress of the pilot than throw itself to 700Kph against an enemy airplane.

OK have read this entire thread and have not found a solution to my problem.

Did a fresh install of 1946....patched it to 4.08......tested and it ran.....installed the unified mod pack....tested and it ran......installed new aircraft installer 2.8.....tested game it ran.....installed FW190A3.....tested game it ran. However the A3 doesn't show up as a usuable aircraft....it shows up in the MOD folder, has a 3DO folder, presets, samples, and 5 other files.

It shows up in the PaintSchemes folder, but the folder is empty?? Is this why it will not show in Quick Combat ??

Have always been cautious with mods and only install One at a time test run game then move on. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

only thing i can think of would be not choosing 1 in prompt menu while installing mod .... question to allow rearranging air.ini alphabetically .

So please check if you have this line present in air.ini ( \MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects\air.ini)

also make sure you have this in plane_ru.properties (\MODS\STD\i18n\plane_ru.properties):

I never had a choice of selecting or choosing 1 from the prompt menu, because no menu popped up.

Come to think of it I never had that on my other install with mods either.

I checked the air.ini no info on the A3 at all. Same with the plane_ru.properties.

OK before I do something stupid because I am dumb as chit when it comes to computers... If i add the info you supplied in your post to the air.ini and the plane_ru.properties files with notepad, will this correct the problem??

OK I added the text to the air.ini and the plane_ru.properties and the weapons_ru with notepad.

Now I get to 60% and crash back to the desktop.

In my main il2 folder I also have a folder named AIR_INI

Yet my other modded install doesn't??

there shouldn't be any Air_ini folder in game root directory .... but it is irrelevant cos game doesn't load it anyway .

did you update your weapon_ru.properties as well ?

Yes I did ...on rereading my post I saw that I neglected to mention....upon my edit I guess you posted this response LOL.

I did edit the 3 files and get CTD at 60% if I remove the lines or use the backups the game loads fine so to me it seems something else is gumming up the works.

It really doesn't matter much for me because I'm not a huge 190 fan but for anyone else that comes up with this problem it would be nice to find the solution.

I just installed and got the crash at 60%. Bummer too as the 190 is my favorite. I have lots of other mods, and it all works perfectly until this. Will uninstall for now...
