I have read your rules regarding fm/dm and agree fully to what they say . please forgive me for being daft, but how does a fire extinguisher alter the flight model ?
It alters the plane in such a way that could possibly give an unfair advantage to pilots with that mod online, essentially. There were a lot of planes with fire extinguishers, and personally I think that most of the planes in IL-2 should have them as they were historically installed, however, rules are rules, and in this case I think they're for the best.
hmmm, do you not think that, not having the extinguisher fitted to the A6M gives all of the other planes that fly against her in the pacific an "unfair advantage" seeing how the A6M has such flammable tanks? i know i am new here but this is one of the only things that gets me about the pacific side of the Il2 simulator.
So the answer to your post would be; yes, they probably could get the fire extinguisher and fuel guage to work, but ONLY on a new slot aircraft, and NOT on the existing aircraft... :wink:
OT but, Saburo, were you not flying on HL some years ago under the nickname of A6M3-Zero or similar?!
Sorry then for deviating, sometimes my Sherlock Holmes abilities are sometimespretty poor (that japanese pilot was a marvelous flier, and I had great fun fighting on the same side, or agains him..., I am missing him a bit))
