16:10 screen format

Open conf.ini and place this in the correct line:

[window]
width=1680
height=1050

It allows to take advantage of the edges on wide screens.

1. that's not a mod, 2. you need to set saveaspect=0 as well.

New players -or those who have recently purchased a wide-screen monitor- might still find the info useful, even if it's been around for a while.

Note that if you open "il2config.exe" it will reset your screen resolution to 4:3 aspect (at the lowest resolution: 800x600 I believe). So if you need to make changes to your game's setup, the player would be well advised to make those changes by editing conf.ini directly.

Hi Guys:

Tried those settings in my conf but I get a square picture, not widescreen, I also did write protect my conf file, I have a 27" dell lcd which rocks by the way any one know what the settings should be for a screen this large, thank you.

This was that i did: configure graphics with setup utility game as you want, save and close. Modify conf.ini and close. Open the game and play. The first menu doesn
