Hello everybody

Can i request if anyone has done any work on adding Carriers Kaga, Soryu and Hiryu to the game, and if there hasn't been any work, Can I please request these carriers

As it is hard to do a good Pearl Harbor/Midway mission or campain with out them

If you have downloaded the Shippack2 by FC...then you will notice that there are five blank folders...available for you to use..
Ship0/1/2/3/4
if you put an IJN Generic carrier in one then you can rename it to what you want......Kaga for example
then it would show in the FMB etc. as the Kaga....(I'm presuming i am correct)

Hmm, I do have the skinpack 2, and I do notice the spare ship area, But I have no idea how to code it to work, also, I would like to add Soryu and Hiryu now using that method with the American CVL, reskin them (all I have got is paint and GIMP Portable for image doers) But can I also change the arament to Japanese Guns instead of american, If I could do that, then I would do a quicj change and then give the skins to the community

Any help/documentation, manuals to do this would be apprecited, espically with skinpack 2 ship making

Since you opened this thread I asked FC how to do it....and have successfully added the Kaga as the Ship0 empty slot....using the IJNCV Generic carrier as a clone


which other carriers would be good to make the Soryu and Hiryu..? another Akagi would look out of place ...

what do you think?

Doesn't look bad, But I would try and change the ship skin to look like Kaga, with a big Japanese meatball over a white deck covering near the front of the flight deck.

As for Soryu, Hiryu, thats a tough one, the American CVL's in Shup pack 2 are right on the length that Soryu and Hiryu were roughly (210 meters) however, that Ships poor Kate placement (you can only have 7 on deck while with Vals you can have 14) would make it hard to do a good Peral Harbor or other battle with them, Another Akagi would look out of place, however, use Akagi for Kaga and just do up the skin of the ship a bit and perfecto. Instant almost hack of Kaga (though I would go into the ships properties and limit her top speed to 28 knots, which is about 52km a hour in the game

I would try the American CVL as Soryu and Hiryu, all we would need to do is reskin the ship and rearm them with Japanese weapons, we could ask FC to do that for us and show us what a beta might look like, because, Missing 3 of the 6 Peral Harbor carriers in this game has been hard to get over, but so has 3 of the Yorktown Carriers, but we might be able to hack those using the American Generic carrier in some way

Interesting. I tried doing the same thing, and it works. I tried it on the US Generic CV and it works as well.
