tonight ive been attempting to download the B-29 Silverplate, but after 3 attempts at installing it i still have no luck. i downloaded SFX 0-6, AC installer 2.9, and then finally the B-29. i put them all in C:/....../IL2 1946 and opened them up from there. after that didnt work i tried moving the B-29 folder to C:/IL2 1946/files, and then after that to 1946/MODS. (i also installed the other 2 programs to c:/il2 1946).

and the game version is 4.07

First up the mods are designed to be installed over ver 4.08. I'd recommend firstly, upgrading your 4.07 installation to ver 4.08 by installing the 4.08 patch, you can get that here.

Then download and install the unified installer (four parts to this download), get that here. (The link is inoperative)

Then install your B29 mod - point the installer at your game "root" folder.

Also after you have installed everything, if you open up windows explorer and navigate to your IL2 game folder you will notice some batch files (end with.bat) that allow you to switch versions from 4.08 to 4.09, with or without TrackIR support, right click and select "send to desktop" - you will then have shortcuts on your desktop to change versions.
