Is it possible to remove the insignia from the corsair Mk.I?
#1

I was just wondering, since I've seen it done, would it be possible to make it so that the U.S. insignia .mat markings don't show up on the corsair Mk. I?
I'd like to change the default skin, but the skin has US markings on it, and so the mats interfere with it.

Just check the marking when you do the loadout of the plane (gun, bombs,...)

I know that works for some situations, but I need it for the static a/c and such, where you can't uncheck the markings.

Sorry, can't help you for the statics Sad

One way to do this is to find where the .mat is for the US star, and make it an invisible sheet. But doing this would make it so that no plane has the star ...

I know, I already considered this, but I like having the US star for other planes.
I remember a while back, I think it was Ranwers who added the numbers to the F4U-1D's wing, and I believe it had something to do with modifying the .msh or hier.him files to attach the mats to them. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to make it so the us star is not attached to the meshes for the US Corsair mk.1. Unless I have it all wrong and there's a different way of doing it.

When placing the static AC, under properties /army choose none.
