Hi,
I've posted before about how to go about patching to 4.09. I've followed the instructions, and now have 4.08 mods enabled but when i try to load the 4.09 patch it says its corrupt and to download another copy.
Has anyone else had this problem, and have a solution. I just don't seem to be having much joy getting to 4.09.
Forgive me for asking, if i download the 4.09 patch from M4T, is that the same as this one.

The 4.09 beta from M4T is not the same as the mod version here
409_MOD_b1m.exe (The link is inoperative)

Make sure you start with a clean working 4.08 version.

Thanks for the reply, this helps.
I used the install info, but still can't get 4.09 to go in. I don't know if it means anything i was told if i wanted to overwrite a couple of files, i put yes to all.
I've downloaded a fresh copy, just have to see if it works.

Are you using Vista?

If so IL2 must be installed to c:\Games not c:\Program Files
Vista prevents overwriting of files in c:\Program Files

Yes so sorry i'm using Vista, i should have mentioned it. :oops: .
Does that change anything.

You replied before I finished my edit. See comments above.

This is a common problem with Vista which affects many programs not just IL2.

Just install to C:\Games and you should find it works ok.

You may have to redirect Auto Installers in the future.
